Wake up, Ingo! (Repost)
(Reposted from 2022 because the original was somehow deleted.)
Anon (paraphrased): “For the prompt thing with wake up, maybe your [sneasel twins want to go out and play with Ingo, but Ingo wants to sleep, so the twins use tickling to wake him up!]”
Author's note: Hello anon! Cute idea! I hope you enjoy Day 21 of Tickletober: Wake up!
Series: Pokemon Legends Arceus
Characters: Ingo and the Sneasel twins: Fern and Splatter
Word count: 607
Summary: Fern and Splatter want to go play, but Ingo wants to stay asleep, resulting in the twins using a playful tactic that’s guaranteed to wake him up. Enjoy!
—
The dawn of the sun emerges over the horizon of the Coronet Highlands and the light creeps into Lady Sneasler’s cave. The noble pokemon is already out and about gathering berries, but her two Sneasel children and the Pearl Clan Warden, Ingo, reside in the cave—some much more awake than others.
Although it's early in the morning, the twins are already raring to go out and play. They hop around Ingo and try to shake him out of his slumber so that he can come with them, but the warden wants to stay asleep in his warm blanket and thin rolled out mattress.
After shaking him provides no results, Fern and Splatter run over to the end of the mattress to tug off the covers. This time, the warden shows some kind of groggy movement, but only to fix the blanket that the twins had previously shifted.
"Just five more minutes you two…" Ingo pulls up the covers over his side and tries to fall back asleep. Usually he’s awake around this time, but more sleep sounds good right about now.
Fern huffs at the warden’s refusal to cooperate. Thinking of a new plan, she hops up onto Ingo and pulls back the sheets again to reveal his side. Splatter watches, having a feeling that he knows exactly what his sister is planning to do.
Seeing that Ingo is still asleep and unaware of her plan, Fern strikes. She wiggles her claws into the side of his uniform to tickle him, a smug little look on her face knowing that the warden is completely susceptible to this little tactic and won’t be able to stay asleep for long.
Right away, soft giggles start pouring from Ingo as he’s awoken from his slumber. He opens one eye and tries to gently nudge the little creature away from that spot on his side. “Fehern, nohohot right nohohow.”
Fern tries to fight him off, then chirps at Splatter to help her. The younger twin nods and positions himself near the sleepy warden’s middle, poking his claws directly into Ingo’s stomach.
Ingo twitches. “Splahahatter, nohohot you too,” he uses a hand to now shield his tummy and gently push the small cat-like creature away. Although Ingo is more awake than he was a minute ago, he’s still not persuaded to jump out of bed just yet. It seems drastic measures will be need to be taken to get this sleepy warden to wake up!
Fern growls at his stubbornness and pulls out another trick in her book of playful tactics. She lifts the end of his uniform and quickly crawls under the fabric to start climbing around his torso. Immediately, Ingo sits up with a giggly gasp once he feels the furry creature roaming about his skin.
“Fehehern! Gehehet out of thehehere!” Ingo wraps his arms around himself to try and stop Fern’s ticklish exploration of his torso. Splatter thinks it looks like fun, so he jumps in to help too. He slips his little body under the other part of Ingo’s uniform, then skitters up and around the warden like he was scaling a mountain.
Ingo squeezes his arms to his sides and wiggles around as the little sneasel twins persist with their sneak attack under his clothes. “Ohohokay! Okahay! I’m up!”
The two sneasels hop out as soon as they hear Ingo give in. They twist around to face the warden and cheerfully squeak with a smile. The day has only just begun, but even in their waking moments, the twins are already up to their usual shenanigans when it comes to playing and spending time with their warden.

Love Ingo getting tickled. Maybe a scene where he got hurt and Lady Sneasler or the twins licks the area to make him feel better, not realizing it really tickles him. Ingo tries so hard not to laugh, but it tickles verry much.
Hello Anons! I decided to combine these requests together as well, so I hope you both enjoy!
Ingo's Giggly Treatment
Series: Pokemon Legends Arceus
Characters: Ingo, Lady Sneasler, Fern and Splatter (Sneasel twins)
Words: 1,363
Summary: When Ingo tries to bandage his sprained ankle, Lady Sneasler takes it upon herself to help him, which results in a very giggly method of care.
—
Stray pebbles shift across the cave floor as Ingo subtly limps inside, balancing his steps onto his right foot while he makes sure not to put too much pressure on his left. Lady Sneasler trots in alongside him, watching his movements intently as the warden makes his way near the wall of the cave. He carefully sits himself down using his arms as support and stretches out his ankle in front of him.
On his way back to Lady Sneasler’s cave, he accidentally slipped down a narrow cliff side and sprained his ankle when he tried to catch himself from falling. The noble pokemon was traveling with him and swiftly helped him up. She chirped to ask if he was alright, to which he responded that he was fine so that the pokemon didn’t become alarmed. Sneasler still had her suspicions as she observed the warden’s slight limp in his walk, but she couldn’t confirm anything yet. Fortunately, they were already fairly close to her home when it happened, so Ingo didn’t have to trek far in order to get off his feet.
Ingo leans forward and removes his shoe and sock to check the severity of his injury. His ankle is a bit swollen, but luckily nothing is broken. A few days of rest should be all it needs to heal.
While he’s rubbing the swollen area to try and alleviate some of the pain, Lady Sneasler’s twin kits spot the warden’s presence and happily run over to him after not seeing him all day. They snuggle next to his sides and look up at Ingo with high pitched squeaks. He softly smiles at them and pets the speckled fur of the two Hisuian sneasels.
“Hey Fern. Hey Splatter. Did you two have a good day today?”
The sister and brother nod with a chirp and give the warden a little grin. Fern then glances back at Ingo’s outstretched leg and realizes that his shoe and sock are off. She tilts her head to observe the area around his ankle, noticing that it looked puffy and slightly bruised. Fern silently points to the injury and looks up at Ingo with worried eyes.
The warden sees the kit’s expression and tries to reassure her. “Ah, yes. I accidentally hurt my ankle when walking back. I’ll be out of commission for a few days, but I’ll be alright.”
Fern sighs in relief, then snuggles up closer to the warden to comfort him; but Lady Sneasler shifts her attention towards the three when she hears the confirmation that Ingo is hurt. She crawls over next to the warden’s leg to observe his injury and lets out a low growl in concern.
“I’m alright Lady Sneasler,” Ingo tries to ease the noble pokemon’s mind, “I only said that I was fine earlier so you didn’t have to worry.”
The large creature looms over the appendage, wanting to help heal her warden of this pain. She gently lifts his foot in her claws to determine what care it needs, but Ingo suddenly flinches and pulls his leg back.
“I appreciate you trying to help,” he quickly says, “But I’m alright, really.”
He turns to Fern and asks her to go over to his things on the other side of the cave to grab his makeshift first-aid kit. The older sneasel twin nods and runs over to get the bag. Once she returns, the warden thanks her and pulls out a long piece of white fabric from the materials inside.
“I’ll just wrap it up,” he informs Lady Sneasler, then extends his leg back out in front of him.
The noble pokemon grumbles as she watches him reach for his leg. She thinks that his pride is taking over and making him stubborn enough to refuse help—although, that doesn’t really sound like something the Ingo she knows would do. Nevertheless, she’s persistent and wont turn a blind eye to the warden’s situation that easily.
Just before Ingo is able to bandage his ankle, Sneasler pounces at his outstretched leg and carefully pins his foot down within her claws, snatching the piece of fabric away from him in the process. She holds his foot with one paw, while her other lies right above the injured area. Ingo lets out a startled gasp and his eyes grow wide.
“L-Lady Sneasler!” He tries to act calm, “Please, I can handle this-Ah!”
Suddenly, Ingo chokes out a giggle when Sneasler starts lightly licking his ankle. A wobbly smile forms on his face and he reflexively curls up his toes as he tries to pull his leg away.
Now it made much more sense to the noble pokemon. Ingo wasn’t trying to avoid her help because of his pride, he was avoiding it because he’s quite ticklish. Sneasler already knew this playful fact about the warden, but she didn’t realize until now that it was the reason he was acting so stubborn. Despite this, Lady Sneasler still has a job to do if she wants to care for her warden’s injury.
“S-Sneasler! Wait!” Ingo giggles as the cat-like pokemon carries on with her gentle licks. He attempts pulling his leg back again, but the larger pokemon pins it down and growls at him to stop moving.
Ingo knows that he’s not going to win this argument against her, so he’s just going to have to take her ticklish method of care. He sighs at her insistent attitude, then reluctantly straightens his leg to allow her to continue.
Sneasler leans her head back down and resumes gently licking his ankle, immediately making the warden’s mouth twitch upwards into a smile. He attempts to hold in his laughter to stop himself from moving, but the bubbly giggles start to build up in his chest and he can’t help his toes from curling again due to the pokemon’s tickly treatment. Fern and Splatter look up at him and chuckle at Ingo’s silly expression, which doesn’t help the warden who’s trying not to laugh himself.
Once Sneasler feels satisfied that Ingo’s ankle has been licked enough, she picks up the fabric she had placed on the ground beside her and begins bandaging his foot—starting at the balls below his toes and wrapping it over and across his arch. As hard as Ingo tries to be still, huffs of laughter accidentally slip out when her claws graze over his sole. A smile keeps tugging at the corners of his mouth and more airy giggles start to become noticeable as the bandage wraps around his foot. He buries his face into his shoulder and tilts his hat down over his eyes to conceal his silly grin, but he’s unable to hide the sound of his deep chuckles from escaping.
Fortunately, Sneasler quickly finishes bandaging him up and ties the rest of the fabric around his ankle to secure the wrap. She places a claw on his foot and chirps at him to notify that she’s done. Ingo uncovers his face and moves around his ankle to check the tightness of her work.
“Bravo Lady Sneasler! Excellent job! Thank you!”
The noble pokemon grins at herself. She learned it from him after watching Ingo do it all the time to injured Galaxy team members at the camps.
Fern and Splatter move over near his leg and curiously observe his wrapped foot. They see his toes sticking out at the top and poke at the digits to investigate.
“Cahareful,” Ingo flinches back with another giggle. “Just because it’s wrapped doesn’t mean it isn’t still ticklish,” he smiles down at the two.
The little twins chuckle at his reaction again, then trot over to him as he puts his sock and shoe back on. Splatter hops up onto Ingo’s lap and curls himself up, while Fern cuddles next to the warden’s side. Lady Sneasler also joins in their snuggle pile and wraps herself around them to rest.
Ingo will have to take it easy for a few days because of his injury, but he has three lovable pokemon to keep him company as he heals. He closes his eyes alongside them and joins the creatures for a nap after their eventful day.

Love your stories. I have a cute scenario in mind: Ingo got himself stuck, lost a shoe. A pokemon (wild or Sneasel) found him and discovered he's ticklish.
Aww, cute! And thank you for your patience! I decided to go with some sneasel twins for this prompt that I’m excited to debut in this fic! I hope you enjoy!
The Lost Shoe
Series: Pokemon Legends Arceus
Characters: Ingo, Lady Sneasler, Fern and Splatter (Sneasel twins!)
Words: 2,185
Summary: When Ingo looks for his lost shoe along with Lady Sneasler’s kits, an unexpected discovery by the sneasels occurs when Ingo finds himself entangled within some branches.
—
Ingo walks along the Coronet Highlands, the lake glistening ahead of him. With one shoe on his left foot, he treks down the path between Primeval Grotto and Celestica Trail, searching for his missing one. His socked foot on this right touches down upon the short grass as he takes each step.
While Ingo was putting his coat and shoes on this morning outside Lady Sneasler’s cave, a mischievous gligar snuck up towards Ingo and snatched up one of his footwear. The warden went to put on his other shoe, only to see the gligar floating away behind the rocks. Ingo quickly got up and rushed towards its direction, but by the time he turned the corner, the gligar was nowhere to be seen. He knew that the pokemon still had to be nearby somewhere, so he headed back to the cave to ask Lady Sneasler for help. Her two little kits also wanted to be of assistance, so the sneasel twins went along with Ingo towards the lake while Lady Sneasler searched the cliffs.
“Let’s take a look over there,” Ingo says to his sneasel companions. One clings onto his shoulder while the other walks alongside him.
The older sneasel twin, Fern, is the one trotting along with graceful steps. Her fur pattern resembles the usual colors found on a Hisuian sneasel, but she has very light, almost white, patches of lavender colored fur surrounding her darker purple, including the spots around her wrists, chest, and face. Ingo had named her Fern after the material that her nest was made of, but also because her unique pattern resembled certain species of the colorful foliage.
Her brother, the one clinging to the warden, has darker purple patches all over his body with his lighter lavender fur filling in the rest of the cracks. Ingo named him Splatter, since his coat of fur looks as if he’s been splattered with purple ink.
When the sneasel twins were born, Ingo felt as if he had a similar connection to them. Those faint memories of the past flooded his head, yet he couldn’t remember enough to know why their hatching had reminded him of something. Despite this, Ingo was still pleased that Lady Sneasler had two kits that were happy and healthy.
The three continue their search for the missing shoe as they approach closer to the lake. They look through the bundles of red-leafed bushes surrounding the water, rustling through the foliage to see if the shoe is hiding there.
Ingo kneels down next to another bush and begins sifting through the branches, each leaf crinkling when he touches it. While the warden searches through this particular bundle, Fern eyes another bush nearby and runs over to it. Splatter hops off the warden’s back to join her.
“Hmm, nothing,” Ingo mumbles to himself after being unable to see through the foliage, “Maybe the other side.” He then makes his way behind the bush to see if he can get a better view through the leaves and branches. Meanwhile, Fern and Splatter come out empty handed from their search and return to their warden’s side.
Ingo shakes his head, “Nope, nothing here either.” He fixes his hat on his head and points to another bush on the right side of the lake. “Let’s head over to the next stop.”
The sneasel twins nod and start making their way over to the bush. Ingo walks forward to join them, but he suddenly trips over a small rock that had been hidden by the foliage and falls into the bush with a thud cushioned by the leaves. Fern and Splatter run back over, chirping at him with their high pitched voices to make sure he’s alright.
“Yes, yes, I’m fine,” the warden reassures the kits, “I tripped is all.” He pushes himself up with his arms to get out of the bush, but he’s stopped just before his back is out of the leaves. He tries again, but it seems as if he’s stuck on something. The broken branches of the bush must have caught on to his coat, trapping the lower half of his torso and his legs in the foliage. He plops back down onto his stomach and looks at the little sneasel twins, “I…appear to be stuck.”
Fern lets out a little gasp of panic, but she calms herself to think of a solution. She looks to her brother and tilts her head in Ingo’s direction with a squeak to notify him to help out with her plan.
The sneasel twins run up to Ingo and each grab one of his hands to try and pull him out of the bush, but he doesn’t budge. They gently put his hands down and Fern points to the bush with another plan in mind. She makes her way over to Ingo and carefully hops onto the warden’s back to use her claws to cut through the branches above him, but the foliage is too thick for her to cut through.
She shakes her head at Splatter, telling him that this plan won’t work either. The younger sneasel twin squeaks at her with another idea and runs to the other side of the bush to try and pull Ingo out from his legs. Fern follows and slides down Ingo’s back to make her way over to her brother.
Splatter takes Ingo’s right foot in his claws, while Fern takes his left. They nod at one another and pull with all their might, but they end up tipping over onto their backs since they’re not strong enough to pull the warden out this way either. However, as they fall, the warden makes a peculiar sound when Splatter’s claws accidentally graze over his socked foot.
“Ah!” Ingo yelps and slightly tenses up. Thinking that they may have accidentally hurt him, Fern runs to the other side to check on him. She squeaks at Ingo to get his attention and the warden turns to look into her worried eyes.
“I’m alright Little Lady,” he says with a subtle smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. Fern blinks at him and tilts her head. She’s fascinated by this little smile on the warden’s face. She’s never really seen him smile before. He may have curved his mouth upwards a few times when they were playing with him, but never like this.
Fern stretches herself upwards and chirps to signal Splatter to try and tug the warden out again. She knows that it won’t work, but she still wanted to try something. The younger sneasel twin has no idea where his sister is going with this, but he does as she asks and grabs Ingo’s socked foot again with his claws to pull. Immediately, the warden flinches and lets out a choked out giggle.
“Gah! C-Careful!” Ingo gasps with that same small smile appearing on his face.
Fern’s big eyes blink once more at the warden's reaction, and she calls her brother over to come see what she’s looking at. The younger sneasel twin trots to the other side and peaks at Ingo, instantly noticing what his sister does. He glances at her with similar wide eyes. The two kits connect the dots together and slowly turn towards the warden with a little smirk. They snicker to themselves and Fern chirps out a new plan, nodding to her brother that they should split up. Splatter growls in agreement and makes his way behind the bush, while Fern hops onto Ingo’s head and onto his back.
Ingo fixes his hat that Fern had skewed on his head and tries to look up at the baby pokemon on top of him.
“Huh? What are you two doing?” he asks the sneasel twins, but his question is quickly answered when Fern starts scribbling her claws into his ribs and Splatter scribbles his claws into his socked foot.
“H-Hehey!” Ingo jumps at their unexpected tickle attack, “Wahait a minute! Cuhut that out! Hahaha!” He tries to reach behind him to grab Fern away from his vulnerable ribs, but she’s a nimble little pokemon and easily able to dodge his hands in order to keep scribbling into the ticklish spot. Fern happily squeaks, now seeing a full blown smile from the warden rather than just a subtle grin.
“Fehehern!” Ingo giggles and tries to squirm away from the twin’s playful attack, but the bush keeps him trapped within its branches.
Meanwhile, Splatter is having fun making the warden laugh by wiggling his claws into the warden’s foot, switching frequently between the sole, arch, and heel. The younger sneasel twin lets out a giggle of his own and tries wiggling his claws into a new spot at the warden’s toes.
“Splahahatter! Quhihiit it! Haha!” Ingo giggles and tries to curl his toes, but Splatter switches back to his sole to continue wiggling into the ticklish area. Upon feeling claws scribble into his sides, the warden jumps and tries to reach behind to grab Fern again, who had started exploring all over his torso.
“I understahahand that you twohoho want to plahay, but thihihis is NOT the time! Hahaha!”
In his attempts to grab the older sneasel twin away, he unfortunately leaves himself open for another tickle spot to be explored. Fern notices the opening and hops forward to scribble her claws into Ingo’s underarms. Ingo jumps and immediately tries to clamp his arms down from Fern taking advantage of this new spot.
“Oh nohoho! Fehehern! Wahait! Nohohot there!” his laughter increases and he tries to wriggle away unsuccessfully in the rustling leaves. Usually, Fern would listen to her warden, but she was having way too much fun seeing him in this silly state. She looks over at her brother through the leaves and they both giggle at each other.
Splatter plops himself down in the grass and traces both sets of claws over Ingo’s foot, pawing at the ticklish appendage. At the same time, Fern hops from one underarm to the other, adding in some tickly nuzzles to Ingo’s neck in the process. The warden tries scrunching up his shoulders, but he’s unable to escape Fern’s cuddles.
“Okahahay you twohoho!” Ingo calls though his laughter, “Hahahalt the tickling! Plehehease!”
“Rraow!”
The sneasel twins freeze upon hearing their mother call them, making Ingo face plant to the ground when they stop their attack. The two slowly turn around and see Lady Sneasler with her arms crossed, leaning herself against the nearby cliff side as she stares at her mischievous kits. She pushes herself up from the rocks and tilts her head to the side, signaling her children to get off the warden before they tire him out with his own laughter. Fern and Splatter nod and hang their heads down, feeling a little guilty that they got into trouble. Fern carefully hops off of Ingo’s back and Splatter makes his way around the bush to walk over to his mother. The warden lifts up his head and looks at the noble pokemon.
“Thank you Lady Sneasler,” he responds a bit breathless. The taller pokemon nods and walks over to help him out of the bush, carefully scooping his middle up with one paw and using the other to cut the branches that were caught on his coat. She lifts him out of the foliage and sets him back down on the ground so he can sit and recover.
Fern and Splatter lean on Ingo’s sides and look up at him with their big eyes to apologize, letting out a few quiet chirps.
“It’s alright you two,” he gently pats their heads and smiles at them. The sneasel twins purr and rub their heads into his hands. They’re glad that he wasn’t mad at them for trying to have a bit of fun with him.
As Ingo sits with the kits, Lady Sneasler suddenly drops Ingo’s other shoe in front of him.
“Oh!” Ingo shifts his position on the ground to grab his shoe and put it on. “Bravo Lady Sneasler! Where did you find it?”
The noble pokemon tilts her head in the direction of the cliffs, signaling that she found it up there.
Ingo tilts up his hat. “Ah, I see. Thank you. We wouldn’t have been able to find it without your help.”
The two little kits below him chirp, wondering if they could get a bit of credit too. He pats them again.
“Yes, and thank you for your assistance as well.”
The sneasel twins beam and produce happy squeaks from the ground. Splatter jumps up in glee and crawls back on to Ingo’s shoulder to gently nuzzle into his neck, while Fern smiles at them both. The warden chuckles at their antics and lifts himself off the ground.
“Alright then, shall we head back to the station little ones?”
Little chirps from both of the twins tell Ingo that they agree, and they all head back to the cave together. The kits can definitely be a handful when it comes to playtime, but he still cares about them immensely, just like the sneasel twins care about him.

Fern and Splatter's Discoveries: A Creature with a Sparkle
Trying something different this time! I hope you all enjoy it!
—
The Shine Upon a Clifftop
The presence of a mystery itself is never solved by simply observing. It requires exploration to actually find out the answer that evades discovery.
A young Hisuian sneasel emerges out of a dark cave into the crisp open air, her eyes adjusting to the morning light seeping through the clouds. Fern’s brother dashes out in front with his claws pounding in the short grass, while their mother walks out beside her. The rocky cliffs of the Coronet Highlands tower over their presence, creating walls of stone that make up the grotto that shelters them.
Fern stretches her little arms as she basks in the slight chill of the land. Her purple patches of fur on her face, chest, and wrists are surrounded by a border of white, while the rest of her body is its usual lavender color. Splatter reigns himself in and runs over next to his sister. Despite the two siblings being twins, Splatter’s coat is fairly different. He has similar purple markings on his face, chest, and wrists, but the rest of his body is covered in the same colored splotches of fur as if he was splattered with large globs of ink. His lighter lavender fur fills in the rest of the gaps left open in his unique pattern.
The kits both look up at their mother as she prepares to leave for the day. Lady Sneasler is gathering some berries and other food to have in the cave, but she said that her children could go play at the nearby lake while she’s gone. She gently growls at both of them to behave and be safe, then licks the top of their heads to say that she’ll be back soon. She turns away and trots down the grotto. Her kits wave goodbye until she’s out of sight.
Splatter looks to his sister and squeaks with a grin that shows off his little fangs. He tugs on her arm for her to follow, then dashes off ahead towards the other side of the grotto. A small cloud of dust kicks up behind him, promptly making Fern cover her face with her claws. She growls at her brother, who had already run off without her, and she carefully opens her eyes to make sure there’s no dirt lingering in the air. She grumbles as she brushes off the few grains of soil that had caught on her fur.
Crack-
Fern jolts her head up when she hears the sound of a twig snap in half. She shifts her focus towards the direction of the cliffside that stands across from her, trying to scope out who or what had made that sound. She can’t see what lies above the cliffs, but nothing unusual seems to be out of place. Many pokemon make their home in the Coronet Highlands, so it isn’t unusual to hear a rustle or two every once in a while; it’s just that the sudden crack had surprised her. She straightens her back to take one last look at the cliffside, but heads off to join her brother once she can't spot anything.
A few hours go by and the sun appears in full view after its cloudy veil is removed. Splatter’s been enjoying himself in the water, careful to stay close to land so he doesn’t get swept up in the rougher currents. He splashes in the refreshing lake then dries himself in the warm rays of light, only to repeat the cycle and get himself soaked again. His wet fur drips with the cool liquid, making his speckled pattern look smudged. Fern, on the other hand, sits at the edge of the lake to bathe in the sun. She doesn’t want to get herself completely wet, but she still enjoys the mist that clings onto the wind and blows over her fur. To keep herself occupied, she picks up a stick that had fallen from a nearby tree and draws in the moist dirt, creating random shapes and patterns just to bide the time.
Crack-
Fern’s ears immediately perk up. There it is again. Another branch snapping nearby. She pinpoints the source of the noise, this time coming from the clift right behind her. Whatever is making this sound is up there, above the rocks. It’s probably just a wild pokemon, but Fern wants to know an exact answer after hearing this for a second time in one day.
She places the stick down and turns to scale the cliff that slopes upwards like a steep hill. She grasps onto the rocks with the help of her curved claws and starts pulling herself upwards, making sure to also find her footing on smaller protruding rocks so she doesn’t slip off. With every vertical step, she moves away from the ground and ascends the cliffside higher and higher.
Once she makes it to the top, she clings on tight and peeks her head over the rock’s edge, her tiny nose just reaching above the rim. Looking down, she sees a flat, grassy plain that resides on a lower clifftop. The other side of the rock she’s standing on slopes downward towards the field, creating a slide-like path. Fern pulls herself up a little more to get a clearer view of the land and notices something moving above the short grass.
With its wings flapping rapidly like a hummingbird, a Scyther hovers over the earth. Its bladed claws hang to the sides of its rounded body. However, this Scyther seems different from the ones that Fern has seen. The bug type down below is green, yet its coloration seems darker, a more vibrant shade than usual. Not only this, but the rectangular sections above and below its abdomen, as well as the parts of its thin legs and hips unprotected by its shelled armor, is a bright magenta that pops from the green surrounding it. A visible sparkle seems to come off of the pokemon, making its coloration shine within the field.
The bug type flies over a patch of flowers with its wings quietly buzzing. It glides itself to a nearby tree and cuts one of the branches off to trim it, which makes that same snapping sound again that Fern heard earlier. The twig falls to the ground in a pile, then Scyther scoops them up to clear them away from the tree’s roots. Once that task is finished, the bug type makes its way back to the patch of flowers and hovers their blades right over the white petals. With delicate strokes, the Scyther scrapes off the drops of dew that were dampening the colored leaves, careful not to slice the soft floral skin of the plant. It must have been trimming and maintaining the foliage around the area since this morning.
Fern watches the creature in silence, observing the dainty movements of this peculiar pokemon—but an abrupt high pitched squeak right behind her shoulder snaps her out of her hushed viewing. Fern lets out a startled yelp and loses her grip on the rock, directly slamming backwards into Splatter, who had accidentally sneaked up on her to find out what his sister was doing. The twins tumble down the cliff, rolling into one another, until they thud onto the flat dirt beside the lake.
Fern pushes herself up and dusts her body off, checking for any injuries in the process, while Splatter stands on all fours and shakes off his fur from dirt and excess water like a drenched kitten. Fern shields herself from the spray and hollers at him to stop, now slightly wet after being hit with her brother’s leftover water droplets. She narrows her eyes at him, then wipes her paws off, until she realizes that their tumble had made quite the commotion. Fern audibly gasps and quickly stumbles back up the hillside; but by the time she peeks her head over the top again—the Scyther is gone. Fern darts her red eyes around as she scans the area, attempting to locate where the mysterious pokemon went, but there’s no sign of the unusual colored creature. Only the pile of twigs and white flowers they had manicured are still swaying in the breeze. Fern drops her ears and chirps to herself in disbelief.
Splatter climbs up next to Fern and looks out at the plain, unsure what exactly his sister is searching for. The slightly younger sneasel twin tilts his head and squeaks for his sister to explain the situation. In a series of quick, chattery chirps, Fern tells her brother of what she saw and how there was a discolored pokemon just at the plain below. Splatter yips in surprise, unsure if this could be true, but Fern reassures him with a half squeak, half growl that she definitely saw what she saw.
Suddenly, the twins hear their mother calling for them in the distance. Her cry bounces off the walls of the grotto and up to their ears. Splatter immediately detaches himself from the side of the cliff and plops onto the ground to get ready to leave. Fern takes one last look at the empty plain, until Splatter squeaks from below to hurry. She makes her way down and catches up with her brother.
As she dashes home, her mind races about the mystery behind that creature. There’s no doubt that it makes its home in the Coronet Highlands, but the vast size of the area to a little sneasel makes its location virtually unknown. Still, it's not impossible to find. The odds may be low, but there’s always a chance of running into it again, wherever it may be.

For the prompt thing, with Wake Up! Maybe your sneasels Fern and Splatter want to go play and are trying to wake Ingo up, who would like to sleep in a little longer. They realize tickling is the only thing that will get him up and moving.
Hello anon! Cute idea! I hope you enjoy Day 21 of Tickletober: Wake up!
Wake up, Ingo!
Series: Pokemon Legends Arceus
Characters: Ingo and the Sneasel twins: Fern and Splatter
Words: 607
Summary: Fern and Splatter want to go play, but Ingo wants to stay asleep, resulting in the twins using a playful method to wake him up. Enjoy!
—
The dawn of the sun emerges over the horizon of the Coronet Highlands, and the light creeps into Lady Sneasler’s cave.
